After selecting a category of food, the air temperature is monitored and, dependent upon the type of food selected, is able to predict the time at which the cavity temperature will reach a particular threshold to cook the item. The user also has a choice of a well-baked or lightly-baked food item whereby the threshold temperature will increase or decrease accordingly.
